Terms of use
Version 30 September 2026.
At a glance
- The branle entre potes site is a free community for men aged 18 and over, of all orientations.
- By signing up, you accept these terms and the community guidelines, which form part of them.
- You are responsible for what you post and what you do.
- You can delete your account whenever you want, in Settings.
- What we do with your data is explained in the privacy policy.
In this text, “we” means the site’s publisher, and “you” means anyone who uses the site, whether a member or a visitor.
1. Who publishes the site
The site branle-entre-potes.com is published by:
- Publisher: F. Blanchet, a sole trader (autónomo) established in Spain, Passeig Sant Albert 2, 08810 Sant Pere de Ribes (Barcelona), España, telephone number not provided (contact by email), [to be completed].
- Director of publication: F. Blanchet.
- Hosting provider: OVH SAS, 2 rue Kellermann, 59100 Roubaix, France, telephone +33 9 72 10 10 07.
Contact us. There is a single point of contact for members, visitors and authorities:
- by email, at [email protected];
- through the “Contact” button at the bottom of most pages on the site.
A person reads every message. You can write to us in French, Spanish or English.
2. What the site is
The branle entre potes site brings together adult men of all orientations to jerk off together in person or online, chat, make friends and meet up.
Among other things, you’ll find:
- your profile, with your vibes (your interests, as keywords) and your dick code (a drawing of your dick and body, without a face, if you’d rather not show a photo);
- member search (Guys), as a list or on a map, and your friends (members whose request you have accepted, or who have accepted yours);
- chats (your private conversations, with written or voice messages), pokes (a little hello sent to a member), and voice and video calls;
- Available, to say that you’re available now;
- the Feed (the stream of members’ posts); Going out, with hangouts (get-togethers between members, organised by one of them at his home or at a venue) and Places (saunas, clubs, cruising spots and other places added by members); Crew, with crews (groups created by members) and forums;
- photos, videos and live streams.
The site puts members in touch. It does not organise their get-togethers. Hangouts are organised by members.
The photos and profiles shown on the homepage are illustrations: they are not members of the site.
Why only men. The site brings together men who want to share with each other. It is reserved for them to protect members’ privacy and the decency of exchanges, and to preserve this community’s freedom to gather among men.
In what order results appear
No one pays to be placed higher.
- Guys: when you search within a radius (the starting area), the nearest members come first, then profiles with a photo, then the newest accounts. Distance is measured from a member’s approximate location if he has shared it, otherwise from his town. When you search only in a town, or everywhere, profiles with a photo come first, then those in the same town, region and country as the place searched for, then the newest accounts. You change the results with Refine (distance, age, criteria). On the map, members are grouped by area; within an area, profiles with a photo come first, then the newest accounts.
- Going out: upcoming hangouts, from earliest to latest; at the same time, from nearest to furthest. You choose the area and distance with Refine.
- Feed: posts their author has made visible to you, from newest to oldest. No algorithm sorts them for you.
3. Who can sign up
To sign up, you must:
- be a man;
- be 18 or older;
- give your real date of birth;
- not already have an account: one account per person;
- not have been barred by a judge from using online platforms.
Age. We do not check your identity or your age, not even when we verify a profile (section 4). The homepage first asks you to confirm that you are an adult. When you sign up, you give your date of birth and confirm that you are 18 or older. These are declarations: if you are under 18, your account is deleted. If a member seems underage to you, report him (see section 9).
The two agreements when signing up. You sign up either from the homepage, in three steps, or using the sign-up form on the /join page. In both cases, two boxes, initially unticked, are required to create your account:
- you confirm that you are 18 or older and accept these terms and the guidelines;
- you agree to our processing the information about your sex life revealed by your sign-up and your activity on the site. Simply being registered here says something about it: without this processing, the service cannot work. The details are in the privacy policy.
4. Your account
- Your username is visible to logged-in members and, on some pages, to visitors who are not logged in (the privacy policy lists them). Choose one that does not identify you.
- Your email address stays private: it is never shown to other members. It must be valid and belong to you.
- Your password is personal: do not give it to anyone.
- Staying logged in. Two boxes keep you logged in even after you close your browser: “Stay logged in” when you log in from the homepage (unticked by default, 30 days), and “Remember me” on the /login page (ticked by default, 366 days). On a device others use, leave them unticked.
- Logging out. Currently, “Log out” in your account menu does not log you out. On a device others use, use a private browsing window and close it after use.
- Verification. If you request it under “Your badge” (your account menu), you take a selfie making a randomly chosen gesture, and the moderation team compares it with your photos. If they recognise you, a “Verified” tick appears next to your username. It only says that your profile photos really show you on the day of verification: it does not prove your identity, age or intentions. You can remove it whenever you want on the same page. The team can remove it too, for example if your photos no longer show you; they tell you why. Members can display only verified profiles in Guys (Refine), and a host can restrict his hangout to verified profiles. If the team thinks you are under 18, they refuse your request and give your account priority for review (section 3). What we do with your selfie is explained in the privacy policy.
- Trust levels. Your profile may show a level: Regular, Met in person or Trusted. It is calculated every day from facts: how long you’ve been here and your participation, your confirmed email and verification, your confirmed meetings, your friends and, over 12 months, your hangout no-shows without notice and sanctions from the team. “Met in person” means at least one member has confirmed meeting you: the host who marked you as attending a hangout, a participant who rated your hangout “as advertised”, or a member who confirmed “We’ve met”. Logged-in members see your level, never your figures: on your profile, in chats and at hangouts. “Your badge” in your account menu shows your level and what can help it progress. The detailed calculation is not published, to prevent it being gamed; you can ask the team for it. A level is not a guarantee and grants no rights. You can challenge its calculation by writing to the team.
- We’ve met. If you have met in person, one of you proposes it from the ⋯ menu in your chat (or on the other’s profile), and the other confirms it or not. Both of you must have written to each other, and your accounts must be more than 30 days old; only one proposal per year between the two of you. A confirmed meeting counts towards “Met in person” for both of you for one year. Nobody else sees it, and either of you can withdraw it. Do not propose or confirm a meeting that did not happen.
- You are responsible for what you do from your account, and for what someone else does there because you gave him your password or left your device unlocked. You are not responsible for what results from a fault in the site, such as “Log out” while it does not work. If someone is using your account without you, or you have any doubt at all, write to us as soon as possible.
5. It’s free
The site is free. There are no subscriptions, payments or advertising.
If a paid option is introduced one day, its terms will be presented to you beforehand, and you will have to accept them to use it.
6. Rules of conduct: the guidelines
The community guidelines form part of these terms. You will find them after these terms. They explain what is allowed, what is forbidden and how to behave here. The essentials:
- every meeting is agreed by both people, and no means no;
- nobody under 18, in any form;
- no capturing or sharing someone else’s photo, video or conversation without his consent;
- never reveal someone’s identity, orientation or address;
- no harassment, insults or discrimination;
- no money for sex, no drugs, no spam or scams, no fake profiles.
Breaking the guidelines exposes you to the measures in section 9.
7. What you post
You are responsible for it. Profile, dick code, photos, videos, written or voice messages, Feed posts, forum topics, hangouts, reviews of Places, live streams: you are the author of what you post, and you are responsible for it. Almost everything goes online straight away, without review. The exceptions are in section 9.
You remain its owner. You only authorise us to store, copy, adapt and display your content to keep the site running, to the people your settings allow. Adapting means changing its size or format and adding a watermark: currently, the site adds “CHAMELEON software”, the name of the software it runs on, at the bottom right of your photos when displayed large. This authorisation is free of charge. It applies worldwide, because the site can be accessed from anywhere. It ends when you remove the content or delete your account, subject to the retention periods in the privacy policy. We do not sell your content or use it for advertising.
The people you show.
- You may only post a photo or video showing someone else with his consent to it being posted here.
- An intimate image must never be shared without the person’s consent, even if it was given to you. Doing so is a criminal offence.
- Everyone in your images must be an adult and look like one.
- No edited or computer-generated image showing a real person without his consent.
Explicit photos. They are allowed between members, in accordance with the guidelines. Your public photos can also be seen by visitors who are not logged in: they must not show anything explicit. Hangout photos and the intimate drawings in a dick code can only be seen by members: they may be explicit.
What the law always forbids. In particular:
- any sexual content involving a minor or someone who looks like one;
- sharing intimate images without the person’s consent;
- threats, harassment, insults, defamation and incitement to hatred or violence, including on grounds of sexual orientation, gender identity, origin, religion or disability;
- disclosing information that identifies or locates someone in order to put him in danger;
- selling or offering drugs, and encouraging their use;
- the prostitution of others and acting as an intermediary in prostitution;
- identity theft and infringement of intellectual property rights.
Live streams. To start a live stream, you agree to a replay being kept. People entering are told about this. We cannot prevent a viewer from making captures.
When an account is deleted. Currently, deleting an account also deletes what it shared with others:
- its chats, on both sides;
- the forum topics it opened, including other people’s replies;
- the crews and Places it created, and the hangouts it hosted, including their sign-ups and discussion.
8. Meeting in person
You choose who you meet and you are responsible for your actions. We do not check members’ identity, age or intentions. A member’s “Verified” tick only says that his profile photos really show him, and his trust level summarises past facts (section 4): neither guarantees a meeting. Safety and health advice is in the guidelines.
Hangouts. A hangout is organised by a member, the host. He sets the rules for his hangout and decides who comes.
- He approves each request, or lets the first people to sign up come. He can turn someone down without giving a reason.
- He may ask for a short message or a photo with your request. Only he sees this photo, and it is deleted after the hangout.
- To decide, he sees your profile, trust level, friends you have in common, your attendance and absences at hangouts over the past 12 months and, if your account is less than 30 days old, how long it has existed.
- He can restrict his hangout to verified profiles: only a verified member can then request to come. People he invites can still come.
- You can attend discreetly: members who are not attending then see “1 discreet” instead of you. The host and those attending see you.
- After the hangout, the host records who came, and those who came say whether it was as advertised. If the host wrongly marks you as absent, you can challenge it.
- A hangout in a private place (a member’s home, a hotel or a rental) is free: no money, gifts or services in exchange.
- The address of a hangout in a private place is only given to those the host has approved, or those who have confirmed they are coming, according to his choice. Before then, members who can see the hangout only see an area of around 1 km around the address. Keep it to yourself: do not publish it, and share it only with someone close whom you trust, for your safety.
9. Moderation
Who moderates. The publisher moderates the site himself. Members also moderate their own spaces:
- crew hosts accept, refuse, remove or block its members;
- a hangout’s host approves, refuses or removes people who request to come;
- someone running a live stream can mute or exclude a viewer;
- a Place moderator can hide a review.
Almost nothing is checked before publication. Only hangouts posted by an account less than 7 days old are reviewed first. For everything else, moderation acts afterwards, following a report or when it notices a problem.
Automated tools. There are few:
- at sign-up: an anti-bot code on the /join form; from the homepage, a bot trap, a delay of a few seconds and a maximum number of accounts created each day from the same connection;
- a word filter. Currently, it targets any word containing “@”, such as an email address or another network’s @username. In private messages, comments on photos, videos and blog posts, and live stream discussions, this word is replaced with “[oops!]” without telling you. A username, crew name or blog post title containing “@” is refused;
- a filter that refuses contact details (number, address, link) in vibes;
- in a chat, a caution card: it is shown to the person receiving the messages until he closes it, when the person writing has an account less than 30 days old, is not verified, has no friends in common with him, and his messages mention an address, money, a phone number or another app. It gives safety advice and lets him be reported. It does not block anything, and the other member does not know about it;
- when creating a hangout, filters identify certain texts (age limit, hurtful language, contact details, links, money, obligations): some block publication, others warn you, and a phone number is hidden in the description;
- a hangout’s capacity is capped according to how many hangouts its host has already held, with the lowest cap for an account less than 7 days old; the host can ask moderation for more places;
- an account whose email is not confirmed is blocked after 3 days, until confirmation;
- sending messages is automatically blocked when the same text, of 50 characters or more, is sent 10 times. This block also affects other accounts whose last connection was from the same IP address.
No automated tool deletes an account or removes already published content for a moderation reason. Only retention periods (privacy policy, section 10) delete content. If an automated block affects you wrongly, write to us: a person reviews your situation.
Your private messages. They are private between you and the person you are talking to. The site’s administration has technical access to chats. It only reads them to handle a report made by one of the participants or to respond to a request from a judicial authority.
Reporting content or a member. On the site, the “Report” button is available:
- on a profile (the “…” menu);
- in a chat (it concerns the member, not a specific message);
- on a Feed post, a photo, a live stream and their comments;
- on a Place’s page and on a review;
- on a hangout: the hangout itself, its host, a participant or a message in its discussion.
For anything else (a forum topic or reply, a vibe, a specific chat message), and if you have no account, write to [email protected] or use the “Contact” button. State:
- where the content is (its link or its author’s username);
- why you are reporting it, and why you think it is unlawful;
- your name (your username if you are a member) and email address, except for content involving the sexual abuse of a minor, which you can report without naming yourself;
- that you believe in good faith that your report is accurate and complete.
We acknowledge your report when you have left an email address, and handle it within 24 hours for matters involving minors or people’s safety, and within 7 days for everything else. We then tell you what we have decided and how to challenge it. We do not tell the reported member who reported him unless the law requires us to.
Possible measures. From the least to the most severe:
- a reminder of the guidelines or a warning;
- removing or hiding content;
- a restriction, such as a ban on sending messages;
- suspending the account for a set period;
- permanently deleting the account.
We choose the measure according to the seriousness of the facts, whether they are repeated and their consequences for others. Serious cases lead to immediate account suspension: content involving a minor, an intimate image shared without consent, threats, selling drugs or prostitution. We then keep the account suspended for the 6 months during which the decision can be challenged, and then delete it, unless a challenge shows that we were wrong.
Every decision is explained, except in two cases. For misleading advertising sent in bulk, or when an authority’s order forbids us from doing so, we do not send an explanation. Otherwise, you receive a message stating:
- what it concerns and the measure taken, including its duration;
- the facts and, where applicable, the report that led to the decision;
- the rule in the guidelines or the law concerned;
- whether an automated tool was used;
- how to challenge it.
When moderation removes a hangout, the host receives the reason on the site; people signed up are told it will not take place.
Challenging a decision. For 6 months after the decision, you can challenge it free of charge at [email protected], whether it concerns you or responds to your report. A person reviews your case, and we reply explaining our decision. If you are right, we reverse our decision: we lift the measure or take action on the content you reported. For a removed hangout, the host can also challenge the decision from the hangout’s page. You can also contact an independent dispute settlement body certified by its country’s authority (Arcom in France): it proposes a solution without a trial, which is not binding on anyone. You can always go to court too.
Abuse.
- A member who frequently posts manifestly unlawful content is suspended after a warning: for example, from 3 such items in one month. The suspension lasts 30 days.
- A person who frequently sends manifestly unfounded reports has their reports set aside for 30 days, after a warning: for example, from 3 such reports in one month.
- To decide, we take into account the number of such items or reports, their proportion of the total, their seriousness and their author’s intention.
The authorities.
- If content raises fears for someone’s life or safety, we immediately notify the police or judicial authorities of the country concerned: where the events take place, or where their author or the victim is. If we cannot determine this, we notify those of the country where we are established, or Europol.
- We report serious unlawful content brought to our attention to the authorities, giving priority to content involving minors.
- We respond to requests from judicial authorities within the law.
- If a judge temporarily bars you from using online platforms, we suspend your account. You cannot create another: every new account is deleted.
10. Suspending or deleting an account
By you. In Settings, “Delete profile”, with your password. Deletion is immediate and permanent: it cannot be undone. It also withdraws the consent you gave to data processing when signing up. What remains after deletion is described in the privacy policy.
By us. We may suspend or delete an account that does not comply with these terms, the guidelines or the law, under the conditions in section 9.
If the site closes. We give you at least 30 days’ notice, except where an authority’s decision or an event prevents us from doing so.
11. Responsibilities
Ours.
- We host what members post. We are not responsible for content posted by a member until we know that it is unlawful. As soon as we know, we remove it promptly.
- We do our best to keep the site working. If we fail to meet our obligations, we are responsible as provided by law.
- We are not responsible for members’ actions, online or in person, unless a failure on our part contributed to them.
Yours. You are responsible for your content and actions. If someone makes a claim against us because of content you posted or your behaviour, you are responsible as provided by law.
12. What belongs to the site
The site’s name, logo, design, text and code belong to the publisher or those who have authorised him to use them. You may not reproduce them without our consent.
Mass copying of the site’s profiles or content, by a bot or otherwise, and reusing them elsewhere is forbidden.
13. Your personal data
The privacy policy explains what data we process, why, who sees it and how long we keep it. In brief:
- your orientation, what you enjoy, the setting, protection, your limits and what you enter in My cock, including the intimate answers in your dick code, are only saved with your explicit consent, section by section;
- you can withdraw these consents at any time under Settings → My data: those answers are then deleted;
- your location is only saved if you tap “Use my location”. To delete it, follow the steps described in the privacy policy (section 6);
- your data is never sold or used for advertising.
14. When these terms change
- We give you at least 30 days’ notice of an important change, by email and on the site. Our message states the date the change takes effect.
- If you disagree, you can delete your account before that date.
- Corrections that do not affect your rights (typos, clarifications) apply immediately.
- Each version is dated. Every consent you give remains linked to the version of the text displayed that day.
15. Applicable law and disputes
- These terms are governed by French law. If you live in another country, you retain the protection of the rules in your country that cannot be set aside.
- If you disagree with us, write first to [email protected]: we will look for a solution with you.
- The service is free: consumer mediation does not apply. If a paid option is introduced, we will give you a mediator’s contact details.
- If no agreement is reached, the dispute is brought before the court with jurisdiction under the law. If you act as a consumer, you can bring the matter before the court where you live.
16. Contact
- For anything: [email protected], or the “Contact” button at the bottom of most pages.
- For your personal data: [email protected].
- By post: F. Blanchet, Passeig Sant Albert 2, 08810 Sant Pere de Ribes (Barcelona), España.
Community guidelines
Version 30 September 2026.
These guidelines form part of the terms of use. By signing up, you undertake to follow them.
The spirit: friends, respect, no judgement
Here, we’re among guys, with no labels. Married or single, curious or a regular, whatever your orientation, you are welcome and nobody has to justify himself.
We come to jerk off together, in person or online, chat, make friends and meet up. We come at any age from 18 onwards, with the bodies we have.
We talk to each other as friends: simply and respectfully. No mockery or hurtful remarks about someone’s body, age or origin.
Consent comes first
- Every meeting is agreed by both people. Nobody owes anyone anything.
- No means no. Silence does too. Don’t push.
- What you put on your profile or in Available (the signal that says you are available now) does not commit you to anything.
- You can change your mind at any time, even at the last moment, even once you’re there.
- Ask before touching. You can just watch, and leave whenever you want.
- Nobody is obliged to reply to a message, accept a request or respond to a poke (a little hello sent to a member).
- Someone who is not in a state to say yes because of alcohol, drugs or sleep is not saying yes.
What is forbidden
Minors, in any form. Nobody under 18 on the site, or in a photo, video, live stream or story. No role-play or content portraying a minor or someone who looks like one. At the slightest doubt, report it.
What is not consensual. No content or sexual exchange imposed on someone who has not agreed to it. No content showing or simulating a sexual act without consent.
Capturing and sharing.
- No capture, recording, photo or video of another member without his consent: not of a profile, a chat (a private conversation), a call, a live stream or a hangout (a get-together between members). The only exception: keeping evidence of harassment, a threat or blackmail to give it to moderation or the police.
- Do not pass on anyone else’s images or conversations without his consent, even if he sent them to you.
- No edited or computer-generated image showing another real person without his consent.
Outing. Never reveal someone’s identity, orientation, sex life, relationship status, health or address, here or anywhere else. Never say outside the site who is a member. Never reveal where a member lives or is, even approximately: not his point on a map or his distance.
Harassment. No repeated messages to someone who does not reply or has said no. No threats or blackmail.
Insults and discrimination. No insults, mockery or hatred. In particular: homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, stigma against people with HIV, racism, and contempt for someone’s age, body or disability.
Unwanted sexual exposure. No sex anywhere someone can see you without choosing to: street, park, beach, car park, transport, even in a secluded spot or at night. It is a criminal offence. And no cam or sexual image imposed on someone who did not want it.
Money for sex. Neither way: no prostitution here. No priced ads, no escorts, no “gifts” or “contributions”.
Drugs. No selling, offering, exchanging or encouraging use.
Spam and scams. No advertising, promotion, links to paid sites or mass messages. No requests for money or blackmail using images.
Fake profiles. One account: yours. Your dick code represents you. An image found online (porn actor, star, gif) is allowed; if its author or the person in it asks us to remove it, we remove it. No fake age, and don’t pass yourself off as another member or a private individual: no using their name or photos.
Explicit photos
They are allowed, even as a public or main photo: everyone is free here. A photo is explicit when it shows genitals or a sexual act. But:
- Your public photos can also be seen by visitors who are not logged in. If you prefer, keep explicit content for your private photos or messages.
- Everyone chooses what he receives. If a guy has told you he does not want any, do not send him any.
- Only you, or consenting adults. Nobody in your images without his consent.
- At hangouts, the ad photo and the discussion photos may be explicit: only members see them.
What you show can get out of your control. People who see a photo, video or live stream can make captures of it. And the file of a profile photo, album photo, photo sent in a message, video or voice message remains readable by anyone who gets its exact address, even without an account. If your discretion matters to you, do not show your face with sexual content.
Your dick code
Your dick code is a drawing of your dick and body, without a face. It can replace your photo.
- You choose who sees your dick, cumshots and butt: logged-in members, or only your friends (members whose request you have accepted, or who have accepted yours). Never visitors or search engines.
- As a profile picture, an explicit drawing is only seen by people who have access to your intimate drawings. The others see your upper body.
- Someone else’s dick code, like his photo, must not be captured or shared without his consent.
Discretion
- What you see here stays here.
- Never reveal who is a member, or what a member says or shows.
- Keep a hangout’s address to yourself: do not publish it, and share it only with someone close whom you trust, for your safety.
To protect yourself:
- Visitors who are not logged in see neither Guys (member search) nor profiles. But they can read the forums (except topics by a member who hides his presence) and reviews of Places (saunas, clubs, cruising spots and other places), with their authors’ usernames. In the lists of photos, videos, blog posts and music, they see your username and your “online” dot. In the list of members of a public crew (a group created by members) or followers of a Place, which they can open using its address, they also see your photo and town. The privacy policy gives the details. To remove your public photos from their lists, choose “Members only” in Settings under “Who can see your profile”;
- “Use my location” shows other members a point rounded to around 1 km: in a village, it may be enough to locate you. To show only your town, delete your location from your profile (privacy policy, section 6);
- at hangouts, “Attend discreetly” replaces your username with “1 discreet” for members who are not attending;
- the site’s emails may give the usernames of people who message you or visit your profile. Links in the legacy emails open the site without automatically logging in to your account. You can turn off these notifications in Settings; do not forward them to anyone;
- on a device others use, do not tick “Stay logged in” and untick “Remember me” (the /login page). Currently, “Log out” does not log you out: use a private browsing window and close it after use.
Meeting in person
Where. At your place, his, or somewhere intended for it, such as a club or sauna. Never where others can see you without choosing to, even at a cruising spot.
Your safety.
- Talk first. If you want, meet first in a public place over a drink.
- Tell someone you trust where you are going.
- Keep your phone charged and keep an eye on your drink.
- You can leave at any time without giving a reason.
- Be wary of requests for money or a last-minute change of plan.
- With “In person, I host” in Available, you announce that you can have someone over within two hours: choose carefully who you host.
Your health.
- For anything beyond jerking off, protect yourself: condoms protect against HIV and other infections; PrEP protects against HIV only. Talk about prevention beforehand.
- Get tested regularly. In France, it is free at CeGIDD centres, the free information, testing and diagnosis centres. The list is on sante.fr.
- There is a treatment that prevents HIV, PrEP. You can find information on sexosafe.fr, Santé publique France’s site for men who have sex with men.
- After a possible exposure to HIV (a broken condom, penetration with neither a condom nor PrEP), emergency treatment is available. Go to an emergency department or a CeGIDD as quickly as possible, within 48 hours at the latest.
Hangouts
The host (the member who organises the hangout):
- sets clear rules displayed on his hangout, and decides who comes; he can turn someone down without giving a reason;
- asks for nothing for a hangout in a private place (his home, a hotel or a rental): no money, gifts or services in exchange;
- does not exclude anyone hurtfully: in the title he says who is welcome, and he selects people when approving requests;
- does not approve anyone if he doubts his age;
- does not show anyone the photo a member attaches to his request;
- gives notice if he cancels;
- does not organise anything in a public place where sexual acts could be seen.
People attending:
- follow the host’s rules and the site’s rules;
- give notice as soon as possible if they are no longer coming.
The site’s rules, repeated on every hangout (the last one applies to hangouts in private places):
- Nobody forces anyone: you can just watch, and leave whenever you want.
- Ask before touching. No means no, without pushing.
- Everyone here is an adult.
- No photos or videos of someone else without his consent. Nobody’s identity is revealed.
- No drugs.
- The address is for you alone: do not publish it or forward it to other members.
Moderation can remove a hangout. It never asks you for money or your password.
Crews
- A crew is created by a member. Its hosts accept, refuse, remove or block its members.
- A crew can have its own rules. They add to the guidelines; they do not replace them: no crew can allow what the guidelines forbid.
- What is said in a private crew stays in the crew.
- Currently, visitors who are not logged in see the list of crews. A crew’s page is closed to them. But a public crew still shows its members (username, photo, town), photos and videos to anyone who knows the address.
Reporting and blocking
Block. In a profile’s “…” menu, or in a chat under “Block or delete the chat”. You then no longer see each other’s profiles, and you disappear from each other’s Guys results, Feed (the stream of members’ posts) and live streams. The blocked member can no longer message you, call you or see your Available status, hangouts or crews. But currently, other lists still show you to each other: photos, videos, blog posts and music, and the members of a crew or followers of a Place.
Report. The “Report” button is available on a profile (the “…” menu), in a chat, on a Feed post, a photo, a comment, a live stream, a Place, a review and a hangout (the hangout, its host, a participant or a message in its discussion). For anything else (a forum topic, a vibe, meaning an interest displayed on a profile, a specific chat message), write to [email protected] or use the “Contact” button. You can report content to us even without an account.
Keep evidence. If a member deletes his account, your chat with him disappears on your side too. In cases of harassment, threats or blackmail, make captures before reporting.
We do not tell the reported member who reported him unless the law requires us to.
In immediate danger, call 112 (throughout Europe), or 17 in France.
What moderation does
- It reads every report, looks at the context and decides.
- It reviews hangouts from accounts less than 7 days old before they become visible.
- The site’s administration only reads private messages to handle a report made by one of the participants or to respond to a request from a judicial authority.
- It gives priority to matters involving minors and people’s safety.
- It explains every decision concerning you, except for misleading advertising sent in bulk or when an authority’s order forbids it, and you can challenge it for 6 months.
- It notifies the police or judicial authorities of the country concerned when someone’s life or safety is threatened, and reports serious unlawful content to the authorities.
The details are in the terms of use (section 9).
What you risk
Depending on seriousness and repetition:
- a reminder or a warning;
- removing content;
- a restriction, such as a ban on sending messages;
- suspending your account;
- permanently deleting it.
Any content involving a minor, any intimate image shared without consent, any threat, any sale of drugs and any prostitution lead to immediate account suspension and then deletion (terms of use, section 9). We report to the authorities what the law requires us to report, including matters involving minors, pimping, selling drugs and harassment. We notify the police or judicial authorities of the country concerned when someone’s life or safety is threatened. For an intimate image shared without consent, we remove the image; it is for the victim to decide whether to file a complaint.
Many of these behaviours are also criminal offences. The victim can file a complaint.
